Meet Our New Pastor

Mark King has served in both Wyoming and Idaho for the past 20 years. He and his wife, India King, were both born and raised in Aberdeen, Mississippi. They both later graduated from Delta State University, Mark in Science and India in Special Education. They moved to Texas City, Texas where Mark received his Masters Degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and India taught Special Education in the local school.

Both served in their local church, First Baptist Church, teaching 10th Grade Sunday School and later Adult Sunday School. Mark was selected to serve as a deacon. While in Texas, they were blessed with two sons, Hyder and Johnathon.

In 2001 they moved to Lander Wyoming where Mark worked with the U.S. Forest Serivce. Attending Lander Valley Baptist Church, Mark served as deacon and also had opportunity to serve on the Executive Committee of the Wyoming Southern Baptist State Convention. He later served 2 years as Interim-Pastor of Yellowstone Baptist Church in Cody, Wyoming. They later moved to Cody, leaving the Forest Service to become the church’s bi-vocational pastor. During this time, Mark completed a Diploma of Pastoral Ministeries from Golden Gate Seminary. In 2015 they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where Mark served as an Elder at Eastside Baptist Church.

Mark was called by Clearmont Community Church to serve as Pastor starting December 1, 2025.  Both Mark and India are excited to be in Clearmont and look forward to seeing what God has in store for the church and the community. May God receive all of the glory and praise from His people!
